Mission: The Kindergarten program at Oakdale School provides a bridge between the home environment and school culture by assisting children in developing effective social, communication, and thinking skills. A foundation for good work skills, learning classroom routines, and increasing independence is laid in Kindergarten. The Oakdale School program provides a secure and welcoming environment for students and their families.

Message to Parents: Young children's learning and development are integrally connected to their families. The Kindergarten staff at Oakdale invites parents and caregivers to support and participate in their child's school experiences by attending school functions, visiting and volunteering in the classroom, and communicating with school staff through written notes, conferences or telephone calls. A respectful relationship between families and school contributes greatly to a child's successful educational experience.
